Tiny Pebbles was found dirty, full of mats and infested with fleas in San Jose. In addition to the dirt and fleas, she also had a large mass protruding from her abdomen. After bloodwork and x-rays at the shelter, Pebbles was diagnosed with an Inguinal Hernia - these abdominal hernias happen to unspayed small breed dogs who have had multiple litters of puppies. Sadly, whomever was breeding Pebbles did not provide her the care she needed and she found herself abandoned on the street. Thanks to San Jose Animal Care Center, San Jose Animal Advocates, an experienced SV Pet Project medical foster, and our wonderful veterinary support team, Pebbles will soon receive the surgery she needs and will be ready for a loving, forever home.

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.
