Precious Yorkie (aka Sissy) was brought into the San Jose Animal care center by a good samaritan who found her running stray in San Jose. Sadly her owners did not claim her.

In the shelter, Yorkie had 29 teeth and 9 mammary masses removed. Unfortunately, when the pathology report came back, it showed that 8 of the 9 masses were cancerous. Our veterinarians agree that the cancer will return in one form or another – it's just a matter of time. 

Until then Yorkie is living a very happy life in one of our foster homes. We call this "fospice." She loves to play with toys, is very bossy, and is an all around joy for her foster family.
