STEP ONE
 
Review our adoptable pets and follow us on social media to find out when we get new pets. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
STEP TWO
 
When you see a pet you like, fill out an online
adoption application form.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
STEP THREE
 
If your application looks like a good fit, we'll set up a meeting and greet. Note: All family members must meet the pet.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
STEP FOUR
 
The SVPP Adoption Team selects the best home for the pet (we often receive multiple applications).
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

STEP FIVE
 
If a match is made, you'll pay an  adoption fee depending on the age, species of the pet or special program offered (see below).
 
 
 
 
 
STEP SIX

Adoption Fees

  • Kittens under 5 months old - $200
  • Adult Cats - $155
  • Senior Cats (10 years and older) - $85
  • Puppies under 6 months old - $500
  • Adult Dogs - $400
  • Senior Dogs (7 years and older) - $250

All pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adult dogs have been heartworm tested and are on heartworm preventative. Local Adoptions (within the San Jose area) are preferred so we can provide the best possible post-adoption support for our pets.

Golden Paws Program 

The companionship and devotion of a pet bring joy to life. Golden Paws Program is designed to give our older animals the opportunity to be placed in a loving home by matching them with senior citizens who are 62 years +. An older animal would be a great choice for an older person who needs a buddy! Adoption fees for our senior pets are 50% off.

Adopt-A-Buddy Program (Buddy Program)

We realize the importance of having a buddy! Adopt a second pet from us at the time of adoption (or within a month) and receive a discounted adoption fee. We believe it is emotionally healthy for animals to have a friend and have found that some behavioral issues can easily be solved or never occur with the addition of a second pet into a household. Second Adoption fee is 50% off.

Pets for Vets Program

Thank you to all who have served our country! All U.S. Veterans are eligible to adopt a pet at the reduced fee. Adoption fees are discounted 50% with military ID.

Frequent Adopter Program

For our loyal adopters, we are happy to offer a discounted adoption fee if you have adopted from us before. Adoption fees are discounted 25% with a copy of an SVPP adoption agreement.
